The media could not be loaded.I had to replace my Christmas tree base because we lost ours. Woops! I decided to buy the only one that would arrive quickly. The fact that it may or may not rotate was just a plus.My eight cats have not knocked my 7 foot tree over but they do watch it in fascination.After a day, the rotating base started to make a low whirring sound that I can hear from maybe 20 feet away. It’s not super loud or disturbing and I’m sure a normal household could get past it but it sounds an awful lot like an aquarium filter or air pump problems so I opt to keep the rotation off nowadays.It out together easily. I personally would have a hard time taking it apart again for storage but someone stronger than me probably won’t. It’s very light. The base fit my tree with a 1.25″ wide base perfectly. It comes with an insert for a smaller base that is removable.I imagine if the rotation stops working, it is because people don’t realize that there are branches getting caught on things and the base stops rotating and stops turning and I think tries to rotate the other way to get around it. Eventually the motor will die out if the obstruction doesn’t get moved. As long as you keep an eye on your tree and probably don’t keep it on for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you’ll probably enjoy this for years to come.
