# 7 Straight corks 13/16″ x 1 3/4″. Bag of 100

I ordered these corks for some smaller bottles that I have, but I then discovered that the small bottles actually had a larger opening than the regular 750ml bottles. A smaller bottle doesn’t necessarily need a smaller cork. After a little research I discovered that the #7 corks are actually used for short term storage of your wine for 3 to 6 months; they allow more oxygen to reach the wine than a #8 or #9 so the wine ages faster according to the Midwest website. Your wine may go bad if you try to age the wine too long with #7 corks.When I ordered these they were pictured with grapes on them. The corks I received are blank, with no adornment at all. They are also a lighter color. They are nice looking, and I like them as well as the fancy corks. They are a little too long for some of my bottles, but I think that has something to do with the smaller diameter and aging faster.
